INTRO,
You know you could be the winner if you really wanted to, right? But the problem is, you keep playing that "what if" game. What if it don't work? What if I fail? Nah, flip it. What if it does work? And what if you win? Then what? You're gonna be sitting there happy, right? You say you wanna win, but then you're scared to lose. What sense does that even make?
Look, you can't talk about wanting to win and then be scared of the risk. That's not how this works. If you lock in, keep your head down and stay focused on the vision, how could you not win? The only thing that's going to make you lose is your own mindset. And that's all on you. Your biggest enemy ain't out there. It's in your head. So if you want to win, you got to get out of your own way. And here's the truth.
Every time you doubt yourself, you're slowing down your own progress. You either believe in yourself or you don't. There's no in between. If you keep second-guessing everything, you're already losing. But when you stop playing scared and start moving like you're built for this, you'll see everything change. So stop thinking about what could go wrong and start focusing on what's going to go right.
WHAT IF IT DON’T WORK? WHAT IF I FAIL?
The Dream
Nathan sat at his desk, staring at the notebook filled with scribbles of dreams and plans. On the first page he had written in bold letters: “I want to be a winner.”
Not a winner in games or competitions, but a winner in life. Someone who reached his goals, lifted his family out of struggle, and made something of himself. But every time he thought about the steps it would take, fear whispered: ”What if it don’t work? What if I fail?”
The Fear
At night, those whispers grew louder. Nathan would close his eyes and imagine himself speaking in front of crowds, leading projects, or owning his own business. Then he would suddenly see himself stumbling, losing everything, and being laughed at. The dream was always interrupted by fear.
“Why do I always see the risk more than the reward?” he muttered. He prayed quietly, “God, if this dream is from You, please give me courage to follow it.”
A Spark of Faith
One morning, Nathan read a verse taped to his wall: “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind.”
The words stirred something in him. Maybe fear was not the voice of truth, it was the enemy of his purpose. Still, courage didn’t come all at once. Nathan whispered again, “Lord, I want to win, but I don’t know how to take the first step without shaking.”
The First Step
His first step was small. He signed up for a community workshop to learn more about his field. His hands trembled when he entered the room, but he reminded himself: I’m not alone. God walks with me.
That night, as he journaled, he wrote: “Every great victory begins with one small act of faith.”
The Risk
Weeks passed, and Nathan faced his first real test: presenting his idea to the group. His knees shook. Fear shouted: What if they reject you?
He closed his eyes, whispered a short prayer, and stepped forward. His voice cracked at first, but as he spoke, he felt strength that wasn’t his own. When he finished, the room applauded, not because it was perfect, but because it was brave.
The Struggle
Success didn’t come overnight. Nathan faced many rejections, long nights of doubt, and moments he almost gave up. Sometimes he prayed, “God, I thought You wanted me to win. Why is this so hard?”
But in those moments, a quiet reminder always came: Winners are not those who never fall, they are those who rise again.
The Breakthrough
One day, after months of hard work and prayer, Nathan’s project was accepted in a local program. It wasn’t the biggest victory, but it was a door opening. He felt tears in his eyes.
“Thank You, Lord,” he whispered. “This isn’t just my win, it’s Yours. You carried me here.”
The Reflection
Looking back, Nathan realised something important: the biggest battle was never against others, but against his own fear. Each prayer, each risk, each moment of trust had brought him closer to his goal. Winning wasn’t only about the finish line, it was about the journey with God by his side.
The Future
Nathan still had bigger dreams ahead. The road was still uncertain, and risks still loomed. But now, he walked with a new confidence. He no longer prayed, “God, remove the risks.” Instead, he prayed, “God, walk with me through them.”
He smiled at his notebook and wrote on the last page: “I will win, because I will not quit. And God is with me.”
The Lesson
The story of Nathan is the story of anyone who dreams but fears the risk. It’s a reminder that the path to victory is not free of fear, but full of faith.
We may stumble, we may doubt, but with prayer, perseverance, and courage, we can achieve our goals. And when we finally win, we’ll know it wasn’t by our strength alone, but by the One who guided us every step of the way.
GOD BLESS YOU ALL.
